Robert S. Adelson (Managing Partner)

Bob founded Osage Partners in 1990 and has built a track record as a top-performing venture investor. He is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he is a partner in a fourth generation family business. Prior to founding Osage, Bob clerked with the honorable Walter K. Stapleton, U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and practiced corporate law at the Philadelphia law firm of Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen. Bob's previous venture investments include Zany Brainy, Inphonic, Internet Capital Group (NASDAQ: ICGE), and GHR Systems (acquired by Metavante). He is a graduate of The Yale Law School, where he was an editor of The Yale Law Journal, and of Yale College, from which he graduated summa cum laude. Bob is a trustee of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University, and Jefferson Health System. He is also a former President of the Board of Trustees of The Philadelphia School and a past member of The Yale Law School Fund.
Bob currently serves on the boards of Melior Discovery, SevOne, and Halfpenny Technologies.
Bob and his wife Marta reside in Merion, PA. They have three children.
Marc Singer (Managing Partner)
Marc joined Osage in 2008 to help develop and launch Osage University Partners. He is an eighteen year veteran of the venture capital industry. Marc was previously a General Partner of BEV Capital, an early stage venture capital firm he co-founded in 1997. Marc helped BEV raise and invest over $200M in over 40 companies and co-invested with over 100 other venture capital firms. Marc managed or co-managed eighteen of BEV's investments, served as an active board member and/or Chairman for the majority of his investments, and successfully managed multiple companies from start-up through IPO or trade sale. Prior to co-founding BEV in 1997, Marc worked at Consumer Venture Partners, another venture capital firm which he joined in 1993. Marc earned his BS from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Marc resides in Penn Valley, PA with his wife Leah and three children.
Bill Harrington (Managing Partner)
Bill joined Osage University Partners in 2012. He previously served as a Partner at Three Arch Partners, a venture capital firm with over $1 billion under management. During Bill’s twelve years at Three Arch, he focused on medical device, biotechnology, and healthcare service investing. Bill led investments in and served as a director of nearly twenty healthcare companies, a number of which had their origin as university spinouts. He most recently served on the boards of Cameron Health, Baxano, Voyage Medical, Nevro Corporation, APT Pharmaceuticals, and Centerre Healthcare. Prior to entering venture capital in 1999, Bill spent a decade as an interventional radiologist, working with promising new imaging technologies, medical devices, and minimally invasive surgical procedures. Bill holds an MD from Harvard Medical School, an MBA from UC Berkeley, and a BS in Biology and Chemistry from Tufts University. Bill is a CFA charterholder.
Louis Berneman (Founding Partner, Osage University Partners)
Louis developed the original concept for Osage University Partners, based on his 15+ years of experience managing technology transfer offices on behalf of universities. Lou is currently the Principal of Texelerate, a technology transfer consultancy he formed in 2005 to assist academic institutions in monetizing their intellectual property assets. He is the former Managing Director of the Center for Technology Transfer of the University of Pennsylvania and the former Director of Licensing and Business Development for Virginias Center for Innovative Technology. Lou is a Past President of AUTM (Association of University Technology Managers) and long standing active member of LES (Licensing Executives Society). He has been a founder, director, and/or President of several start-ups including Biotherapeutics, Inc., InnoTech, and TMune Therapeutics.
Lou resides in Philadelphia, PA with his wife Harriet.
Sudip Chakrabarti (Vice President)
Sudip joined Osage in 2009. Previously, he was an entrepreneur, engineer and a product manager in the technology industry. As a PhD student at Georgia Tech, Sudip started a software company to commercialize his doctoral research in semiconductor testing algorithms. He also cofounded a startup to develop a pioneering analytic platform for retailers based on the cloud computing infrastructure. Sudip served as a Senior Advisor on the University of Pennsylvania’s Innovation Fund committee that acts as an in-house venture fund for companies originating from the university.
Sudip holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, a B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, and an MBA (honors) with a dual major in Entrepreneurial Management and Finance from The Wharton School where he was a Joseph Wharton fellow.
Sudip resides in Philadelphia, PA with his wife Arpita.
Martin Lehr (Associate)
Martin joined Osage University Partners in 2009 and focuses on novel biopharmaceutical products, medical devices, diagnostics, and research tools. Prior to joining Osage, Martin conducted research in the areas of DNA repair at the Sloan-Kettering Institute and in thrombin activation at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
He serves as a Director of Philly BioBreak, a networking group dedicated to fostering a thriving life science community in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Martin is also an advisor to the University City Science Center’s QED Program and a mentor to the University of Pennsylvania’s Life Science Management program.
Martin holds a MA in Biotechnology from Columbia University, and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Thomas Lipkin (Associate)
Thomas joined Osage in 2011. He most recently worked at Columbia Technology Ventures, where he helped develop several initiatives to facilitate technology assessment, external marketing, and startup creation. Thomas’s scientific research both at Harvard Medical School and Columbia University focused on further understanding intracellular actin-based dynamics. Thomas holds a PhD in Cell Biology and Pathology from Columbia University, and a BS in Biology from Indiana University.
Claudia Dunnous (Controller)
Claudia Dunnous is a Corporate Controller and is responsible for the financial reporting and
infrastructure of the Partnership. Ms. Dunnous is a CPA with more than 25 years of experience
working with private equity, retail, and manufacturing companies. Prior to joining the
Partnership, she was the Vice President of Finance and Operations of Hamburger Color
Company, a privately held company. Previously, Ms. Dunnous provided accounting and business
advisory services to clients in the financial services industry. Ms. Dunnous has an MBA from
Drexel University in Accounting and a BA from Brandeis University in Economics.
